I have questions because i didnt get it....has anyone seen the movie "stay&!
Question: it stars naomi watts, ryan gosling & bob hoskins....about a psychologist has a suicidal patient who predicts things that come true...1st i only saw like 1 thing that came true (a hailstorm)....2nd the movie was warped...i didnt get any of it....naomi watts is a suicide attempt survivor who is the docs patient/girlfriend....but at the end the main character (gosling), the suicidal patient, is in a car accident that kills his parents and girlfriend and the first ones on the scene are watts and the doc and they dont even know each other! AND everyone in the movie who played someone was at the scene as a bystander but not in the same capacity as in the movie....what am i missing...apparently the whole thing was a dream but WHOSE dream...the docs or gosling?....im so confused....i didnt think i had seen it when i rented it but i recalled certain things as i saw them so i guess i had tried to watch it at one time but forgot it...now i see why....can anyone explain this movie to me? PLEASE

okay, the entire movie was a "dream".. brought on by an overpowering sense of guilt while he is on the bridge dying. The hail storm was in fact the shattering glass.. He saw everyone on the bridge in this dream.. the dream is happening while he's laying on the pavement.. so if you watch just the end.. where you see them helping him.. you see where he saw these things.. for example he starts searching for the ring while he's laying there.. this would be the point in the dream where he accuses the doc of taking his engagement ring.. the part where the kid says "is he going to die?"...happened as well.. . His brain was not functioning normally.. it was functioning the same way it would in a dream.. where there is no linear sequences.. He felt like it was his fault.. he saw the others die.. (even if only partially) .. and his brain could not handle it .. it was a heartbreaking movie..

It was Gosling's character. And it wasn't a dream, it was a near death experience. Where the life he could have lived played out in front of him. (If you rent it on DVD again, it has special features that go into the ideas of near death experiences.)
