From all the reviews iv read online it doesnt sound all that great. Pretty mindless apparently but the CGI is supposed to be fantastic. Im sure it would make a great popcorn movie, nothing to take too seriously or have high expectations about.

Its a cult classic but I do kind of like the old monster movies like King Kong and Godzilla even the Sinbad films .
They used model creatures and time lapse photography, I found them alot scarier than modern digital imaging.

Saw it over the weekend.
Really did not enjoy it. Boring storyline, forced romantic plot.
I even forced myself to see it as an "Alternative Reality" because it certainly had no historical accuracy at all.
See Apocolypto if you want to see this story done right.

A major disappointment...
From the ads, it looked like an action movie loaded with cool special effects. In reality, the film is surprisingly talky (and boring), and all the cool effects are shown in the previews.
it's not all that good. the trailer looked good like any other teaser, and you'd expect more of it, but then when you watch it, you kinda be asking yourself "that's it?"
