I've heard of the new Godsend but wasn't there a 1970's British movi!

Question: I remember a couple in a park coming across this weird looking pregnant woman who they invite in their home. I think she had the baby and the kid basically was evil. I remember they somehow finally got rid of the woman and the kid I think but at the end she was in the same park, pregnant once again and looking for another family that would take her in. The man notices this family is about to take her and goes running over to stop them but it's too late and the movie ends. Sound familiar to anyone older than 30?

I didn't see it, but here is a link to the 1980s version...

Yes there is more than one movie with that title. They are different premises though.

...I actually remember seeing that one, at one of the downtown Los Angeles 'grindhouse' movie theaters in my neighborhood; despite seemingly not unlike an extremely pared-down wistfully supernatural take on 'Omen/Bad Seed', it was a very chilling and effective horror film, with surprisingly little to no gore, as I recall. Even more chilling than the movie itself, was the presence of actress Angela Pleasance, as the mysterious pregnant woman; I'm not sure if facially, that's how she looked in real life, but every time I saw her in the film, an icy cold chill would run down my spine...

...Vestron Video released the film on VHS in the '80's, of which I, of course, have a copy; as there's no hide, nor hair of a pending DVD release of the film in the near future, I'm probably about two or three shakes from transferring the tape to DVD-R...

...in fact, I really gotta thank you for reminding me of the film; I may just blow the dust off of that tape, and do the transfer this evening...
