Shock exits from movies???!
Question: I was think about Deep Blue Sea last night, and I was shocked that a 'big star' like Samuel L Jackson was eaten quite so early on in the film! Same with John Travolta in Pulp Fiction. Are then any more movies where the 'big stars' die unexpectedly early on in the film?

Executive Decision about hijackers on a plane and the rescue team going to save them - Steven Seagal is a good guy, and dies reallly early on, it was a shock! Kurt Russell becomes the hero of the movie.

mainly why these big stars take roles of that nature is not that the character dies, it's what the character says and does on screen. it's also personal choices or that the writer/director had that big star in mind when accepting the task of creating these cinema masterpieces.

I just watched "Children of Men" and was shocked when Juliane Moore's character was killed off early in the film.....
I think when the director does that, it definitely keeps us wondering "....if they killed off a major actor early, my gosh what else might they do....", it perks our curiosity for sure!
The Bourne Supremacy where Franka Portente gets killed early on, although not a major star she played a major part in the first film
