Well I hope you're not comparing Judy Garland to Miley Cyrus!!
I wouldnt think of putting her as dorothy, why remake a perfectly good,classic movie?
Those suggestions are a travesty! It would be a box office bomb~I hope. Let's hope they have more sense in casting than those.
I'll give the casting some thought. In Jim Carrey's youth, he could have been the Scarecrow. I watched "Once Bitten" last night, and he could do amazing moves that would have been perfect for the character. I'm not sure he can do any of that now.
It would be nice if Dorothy Gale would be closer in age to the books. Judy Garland is wonderful, but it does add to the story if Dorothy is younger. Watch "Return to Oz", with Fairuza Balk in the lead. Niamh Wilson could be interesting; I've seen several of her films.
I'd have to think about the others. It would depend on if it's a straight retelling or a remake of the 1939 musical.
NOTE: Are we talking about the 1939 film? Someone brought up names from "Wicked", which is absolutely nothing like the musical film.
