When the originals came out, there was supposed to be nine movies in total - over time and the massive wait for episodes I, II, and III I doubt that it will ever happen.
There is a new CGI movie out later this year, have a look at starwars.com, and the TV series set between episodes III and IV is due out in 2009.

not sure, but t hold you off there is a whole series of books called young jedi knights that are pretty cool. it's got luke teaching at the jedi academy and han and leia's kids are attending there
No, because the saga is over. the 4th one was the first one realeased, then they released the 5th and 6th, then went back to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Why would they continue off the 6th? It makes no sense.
George Lucas said that "he" would not make anymore movies. There are some good books by Timothy Zahn that I believe at one time were going to be used as episodes 7, 8, 9.
