Mel Gibson: BRAVEHEART (1995) or THE PATRIOT (2000)?!

Question: Which of the two movies do you prefer and say why?

Answers: Which of the two movies do you prefer and say why?

Braveheart, but Mel's accent was dire!!

I much prefer Brave heart, a true story of human sacrifice in the name of freedom meng.

Brave Heart Man! ITs william wallace!!

Braveheart by far... I no where near get the same goosebumps at the end of The Patriot as I do from Braveheart when Wallace yells out "Freedom!!!"

I put Braveheart in the top 10 movies of all time. The story, the action, and the dude from Ireland is hilarious.

Ummm.....BRAVEHEART!! Are you joking? As for why, I think the script and story is just way better. The Patriot also tries sooo hard to depict a "typical" southern household that has "slaves" but really treats them like members of the family. Please. Braveheart is a true story, while The Patriot is fiction. The performance by Gibson in Braveheart is outstanding, and there are many reasons that Braveheart won multiple Oscars and The Patriot did not. Braveheart is just better in every aspect (although the sad passing of Heath Ledger makes me sad to put down one of his films-- he was always a great performer--- it's just the movie itself that wasn't great)

i'l have 2 agree w/all of them.. braveheart rules!

Braveheart. Everything about it was better. Acting, script, direction. Patriot was more of a bloated mess.

Although i like the patriot i prefer brave heart

patriot

Braveheart

braveheart, i just think its so sad at the end.
