**Horror movies**?!

Question: hey i was just wondering, why do some people not get affected by horror movies? bcuz i was watching Saun Of The Dead, and sure it was hilarious and not scary at all but now when im alone in my house, i get scared and imagine silly things like zombies are real and stupid things like that.
I know that that film isnt scary at all and i was laughing so much whilst watching it but how come i am so scared now? Btw i watched it a few weeks ago.
Also any help on not being so freaked out would be alot of help!
And also, plz dont say that im silly for getting scared over that bcuz i really dont know why i am!
thanks xx

Same here, after watching that movie made me laugh so hard but then when saun killls his mom made me cry a little bit because it made me think what if that was my mom and when those zombies kill mostly everyone made me scared couldn't sleep, its a good movie just its still a horror movie right this is what they call a horror comedy it means its funny but in the same time scary, so i stop watching this garbage(horror) and I've been fine since then since I'm not good on watching horror movies i attempt to watch horror movies that are for my age like 14 + movies its ok if your scared most people are, just stop watching movies that you think might scare you but you can still watch them.
when you watch something scary like that movie and you cant stop thinking about it just fill your mind with good thoughts like for example "MARCH BREAK".

The first horror movie I saw was Child's Play when I was about 4 years old and it freaked me out. Then I started watching horror movies (Halloween and Polterguist) when I was about 5 and at first it scared me but then after watching so many movies I no longer get scared of them. I get grossed out sometimes but not really scared

Movies and books spark the imagination. Even though you found it funny, it hit an imaginative nerve for you. Ghost stories have the same effect on me.

All you can do is keep rationalizing it. The reality is that a zombie will not come breaking in your door and try and eat your brains.

I love horror movies. I was raised off of them, and now they just don't scare me. I can watch the exorcist without any light except for that coming off the screen. No big deal.

Keep watching them. You'll be screwed up for a while, lose some sleep, but then you'll build a stomach for it.

It's not that there's anything wrong with you...some people are just more affected than others.
I almost wish I could get scared like that. I'm one of the people who is the unfortunate position where NOTHING scares me. I'm a huge fan of scary movies, and scary books, but it's disappointing in a way when I rent a movie and it doesn't scare me at all.

If you're home alone and start thinking about zombies just ask yourself this...have you in your ENTIRE life, EVER known anyone who has been attacked by a zombie? Or anyone who has been attacked or killed by a ghost? (And people who think they have a ghost in their house and say that the ghost knocked a book on their heads doesn't count. And stories you've heard about people you don't know don't count. It has to be a real attack by what is known as a fact to be a ghost.)
No one knows anyone who has been hurt by a legitimate supernatural entity, because such things don't exist. Just remind yourself about that when you start to feel spooked. If there was such a thing as evil supernatural entities that could hurt us, they would have killed us all a long time ago.

Most horror movies are so far removed from the real world that I can't take them seriously enough to be scared. Fantasy, insanity, and absurdity do not scare me. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of horror movies I really like, but not for the thrill of fear or horror (that I do not get). Ya, being hyper-rational is kind of boring, but I prefer it to the alternative.

Maybe you have more of an imagination than I do???

well the first horror movie i saw was the original hallowenn and i think people don't get affected by them because horror movies today have lost their touch into scaring people or its because there are some people that know its fake
