If the Bible were a movie, what certificate would it get?!

Question: I reckon they'd have to censor it. Loads of throwing into pits, stonings, burining, fighting and horrid stuff. The to cap it off they have monsters coming out of the sea. It's no wonder I can't sleep at night!

Well, Noah wouldn't get his swimming certificate would he? Jesus, of course, wouldn't need one !

Rated M for mature

if you mean ratings, it would be rated X...there was a fair amount of nudity too...

pg for kids, as its all fake, kids tale :)
i cant believe people still believe in it

X for adults only.

Bloody Hell !!!!

It would have to be an epic,(well over 12hours easily), and given the nature of some of the evil deeds committed in the name of religion, i'd say an 18R; like pornography gets, to double warn you of how disturbing it will be. As nature and evolution is truly horrifying, by today's standards.

Interesting question, have a star xx

Way too much violence, toga and thong wearing, and begatting. I wouldnt let my kids read it. I would give it NC-17.

probably pg, if they were going to try and be as realistic as possible(if god exists of course)

I guess it depends on who writes the movie. It could be edited for TV, just like the collection of books that make up the bible were edited numerous times to fit a biased agenda.

Definately X!!! Sorry God.

that's interesting never thought of that before.
I'd say it would have to be an 18, crucifications and stuff, it would be a mad film!!!
Nearly everything you could think of in one film.
It would be ridiculously long

R or NC-17...just look at Passion of the Christ...

PG

Once you get past the this guy beget that guy, and that guy beget this guy and the fact that Adam and Eve started off with only a fig leaf the rest of the bible is about war, death destruction, despair, and a little with a good message on how to live your life with Jesus as the example. The bible could easily be created into a film with a PG rating.

An X rated version would never be filmed or released because the public would stand so strongly against it.

The bible has some mature themes so it could be rated PG-13, especially the Crucifixion and its aftermath.

The bible could receive an R rating if the director concentrated on the gory parts and insisted in showing every bloody detail, but even then the chances are that it would receive a PG-13 rating so that it could be seen by more people.
