Can someone give me a good reason to see "No Country for Old Men"?!

Honestly, the only reason why I won't argue with all the awards it received is because the acting was phenomenal. Josh Brolin did wonderfully as the main character, along with the rest of the cast. However, the plot line is extremely complicated and bloody and is not worth the time if you don't enjoy figuring out complicated themes (like me :]). I think you should see it, but don't expect the "Amazing" movie everyone claims it to be.

I haven't seen it, but I think I will because I heard the same guys directed "Fargo" and "Raising Arizona" and I like both of them.

are you kidding me? the coen brothers. the movie is just purely horrifically insightful towards criminal's minds and it's just so creepy. afterwards, you feel like you know everything. there is so much in the movie that you have to pay attention to, that i had to see it three times to understand it all. and every "aha!" moment you get when you figure it all out is pure bliss. go see it.
Acting, directing, cinematography and great sound. And violence baby!
It is actually pretty good compared to Cormac McCarthy's horrendous writing.
it doesn't have ur typical hollywood formulaic ending--you think one thing is going to happen by the film's end, and the movie throws you for a loop
no one that left the theatre after watching it wasn't creeped out supremely by anton chigurh--he scared me more than freddy, jason, or jack nicholson w/ an axe.
the main character--moss, behaved realistically throughout the move. the premise was simple enough, if u found the money, what would you do? hell, who wouldn't take the money, it's not like ur robbing a bank!!

It is a greeeaaaaat movie. The acting.. the whole idea.. its just a great movie!!! Instead of thinking about seeing it - SEE IT.. The ending was weird though... if anyone knows what that was about then email me and explain what it meant please.

I went to see the movie and the first hour was quite moving. I notice that the longer the movie went the slower it became.I can't for the life of me understand how these movies in recent years receive these great rewards and I don't like them at all!!! This has been going on for years now and one would think that I would have learned by now .Don't go see it , save your money. Everyone in the theatre was pissed that sat near me when it was over.It was as if they just ran out of film !!!!!
