THAT WAS MY FAVORITE MOVIE! i remember my science teacher in middle school showed it to us because we were studying volcanoes. so i doubt it would be too gory for you. i was a middle schooler and it wasn't too bad for me. i would definitely recommend this movie. it's a great movie. there is probably only one major scene where it might be a little too much. it last for maybe less than five minutes. (don't want to ruin the movie for you so i won't tell you) but it's farther, near the end of the movie. other than that, i don't think gory was it's purpose. you should definitely watch it. if a group of middle-schoolers could watch it, i'm sure you can also :)

Is that the volcano movie? If it's the one I'm thinking about, not really. Except for when the grandma walks thru the lava to save her family.
Not at all. You only see two people die and a helicopter with about five people in it crash. (I don't want spoil it by giving more details if you haven't seen it yet)
99% of the action scenes are of the eruption and the effects of the eruption.

no, not at all gory...kinda a good action flick depending on how much action you are looking for...mostly a tragedy family movie.
No way. It's PG-13. The MPAA wouldn't except if there was gore for a PG-13.
