Have you seen "The Orphanage"?!

Question: What do you think about this movie?

Answers: What do you think about this movie?

LOVED IT!

I'm usually disappointed by modern horror movies, but this one was outstanding. Unlike most American horror flicks, it actually had a strong story and a meaningful theme. Plus, you could really care about the characters and what happened to them.

It was great! I'm living in Mexico right now, so I watched it in Spanish (because it's Spanish) without subtitles, and I still really loved it. It was easy to follow with the little Spanish I had, but it made me have to rely more on visuals, context, and a horror movie intuition--it almost made it scarier.

It went for the imagination of the audience more than gore and violence, which I feel is really missing from most modern day horror films. It harkened to the really great old horror films, like Rosemary's Baby and The Omen. It kind of had the same feel as The Others. Definitely see it.

I thought it was amazing. Plot driven and not dependent on gore. That is rare recently. And some of the scenes were really unsettling.

I'm so glad I caught this during it's brief stint in the theaters.
