Did you like Gone with the Wind?!

Question: If you liked it, tell me why ^_^

Answers: If you liked it, tell me why ^_^

It is one of my all time favorite movies. It is just so sad, especially when Melly dies, (my dad actually met Olivia de Havilland when he was younger). I also thought the ending was just so sad I actually cried the first time I saw the movie.I thought that Scarlett however was just too much obsessed with Ashleigh Wilkes to notice how Rhett really truly loved her. I thought that Scarlett was just so headstrong and naive which made me like her character in some way, although I hated the part when she hit Prissy because "she knew nothin bout birthin no babies." I also love the part when the amunition sets on fire when they all try to get back to Tara, that was just a WOW moment for me. The costumes also were really good and it seems like a lot of hard work went into making them. Yeah, and I also read the book by Margaret Mitchell after seeing the movie and I loved both of them equally, although the book gives more details.

I love Gone with the Wind. It is such an epic story. The cinematography is breathtaking. When Scarlett is trying to find the doctor for Melly and the camera pans out and you see all the wounded soldiers - so moving! and c'mon - Rhett Butler is the consumate man's man. Everything about the movie is perfect.

Sorry, i haven't read that yet. But i hear about it ALL the time.
Is it by margaret something. i donno. Probably not even close. Well hope you get some better answers then this.

whats that?

i dont like it at all. i think scarlet, even though she was a very human like character, was very elfish and self-centered

I liked it... I usually hate romances (especially modern romantic comedies. ICK... whenever I see T.V. trailers I wanna puke) but do like period romances...

I like some of the themes like similarity... like how Rhett, as he's older, says they're alike, and Scarlett, as she's young and dumb, doesn't see it till the end.

Scarlett is also amusing because she's so spunky.
Rhett's character is also amusingly great too... I love his hilarious cokiness. (I misspelled the last word on purpose as it censored me... I wonder why it takes that word in the expletive way... it's a real word!... stupid Yahoo... if you can't read that I also mean bumptiousness.)

I loved that movie. I love the costumes and the whole feeling of the movie. A lot of the houses in the movie are actual historical places that you can visit. I think it is one of the few movies that actually shows the devastation that the south endured because of the war. It shows the arrogance at the time. As far as the story goes it is tragic. Scarlett is a spoiled selfish brat. She only thinks of herself even in the most horrible of situations. The moral of the story is good though. The one thing she truly wanted was right in front of her face the whole time and she had to loose everything to realize it. The movie makes you think of how silly pride is.

I like the book better if you can stand to read the thing. it is so long. There are so many more details that just could never have been in the movie. I mean it was three hours long without all the details. The author did an amazing job in describing the attitudes of the south before and after the war. After all she was a southern lady and interviewed several war veterans and survivors of that bloodstained part of our history.

I like it! I don't know why but i just do!!!!

i haven't watched it yet bt i want to
