Best Picture........but it was full of holes, before leo gets killed he gives the girl the tapes and evidence he compiles, and we never hear about it or see it again! and Matt Damon just blows everyone away including his two partners? it seemed like bad editing or maybe they were in a rush to wrap up filming

The way I saw it, the girl gave the tapes to the Mark Whalberg character, which is why he kills Matt Damon in the end. And Matt Damon sacrificed his partners so he could have a clean getaway without witnesses...but this is a complete assumption on my part based on what happens.
great acting. maybe it was given best picture as a nod to martin scorsese for being snubbed all those years by the oscars.

Yes he gives her the tapes but she hadn't turned them in yet. The reason Matt Damon killed the other guy was because the other guy knew that he was working under Costello. So if Matt's charecter let the other guy live then the other guy might rat out Matt. Anyway about the tapes, the reason we don't hear any more about it is because Mark Walhburg assissnated Matt like a day after the funeral. So to soon to know anything about the tapes.
Also Matt only kills one guy not the black dude or DiCapprio

you dont see it again because it's implied that she was to turn it over and expose it. and matt damon killed everyone because he was the bad guy and he needed to cover up the fact that people were finding out and to cover up the fact that he needed to kill leo's character. he couldnt do that if his partners were there, now could he? (or did you miss that part) and the editing was perfect. lets try watching and thinking about or paying attention to the movies before we say that they have "holes".
