i don't know if there's a deeper meaning to the film itself, but it says something about us that a serial killer ended up becoming the hero in this series. that's sort of creepy.
i dunno, don't gain too much weight or you might get skinned alive by a nut?

I think the most relevant life lesson here floats right near the surface. Monsters are real and they look just like us.

If you kidnap a girl in order to make a dress with her skin, don't waste time playing around.
