Negative effect of the movie Juno?!

Question: I was asking my 13 year old friend (who saw the movie Juno) what she would do if she was pregnant and she said she would keep it and go to school pregnant like Juno since it would be "the coolest rebel thing ever to do." Am I the only one who finds this kind of disturbing...?

I agree, a 13 year old getting pregnant is disturbing, then trying to go to school pregnant is double disturbing, and then trying to raise the baby is triple disturbing.

What type of image is movies projecting to socieities youth, that's qaudruple disturbing.

I'm nearly sixteen and I must sadly admit that movie did make me want to get pregnant. Such a bad influence....

The fact that she thinks it's cool is a little creepy- but the fact that she would keep it and take responsiblity for her actions is very "grown-up" of her.... abortion is another way to sweep stuff under the rug-- but I don't really want to get into all that because I have really strong opinions about it, as does everyone else... I loved the movie, I think she did the right thing-- she gave the baby life and a good mother-- kudos to Juno!

I don't find her keeping the baby disturbing. I do find her way of thinking about it, though.Going to school pregnant to be a cool rebel isn'ta reason. Going to school pregnant to avoid abortion and give the baby up for adoption is different.

I don't think Juno gives a negative effect- I think for a 16 year old, she was very responsible in the movie and thought it portrayed everything great.
