Question: i saw a movie a while back that started off with a guy running fromthe law. he jumps on a railway track in front of a train and the twon think he is dead. he ends up living in the woods behind a cafe and a lady feeds him. whats the movie called?

He's basically a secondary character, but that is what happened.. He was supposed to go to Vietnam, but he ran.. He became a recluse living in the woods behind his mothers cafe..
The movie is actually about a woman who gets out of prison and is sent to work for the mother in the cafe.. it goes into how the town react to her (with no one asking her why she was in prison).. and she reaches out to the guy in the woods.. he does play a pretty big part in the end..
The mother (and then the girl) would put food in a bag out by a tree stump for him every day..

The first movie that I thought of was The Fugitive but I know that's not it. I'll have to give this movie some more thought.
