Any movies shot from the first person perspective?!

Question: I am looking for movies shot entirely from the first person perspective as if you are looking through the main character's eyes. I know there are plenty of movies that use this effect during portions such as: DOOM, Cloverfield (where the camera changes hands several times), and a John Hughes movie that I cannot remember the title of.

But I am looking for movies that are entirely from this perspective. The only one I am aware of is an elderly black and white film from the fifties entitled "Lady from the Lake." Does anyone else know of any first person films?

Yes - Diving Bell and the Butterfly - is shot from the first person perspective (literally through his eyes) - you even hear his thoughts. I'd say about the first half is first person - then it transfers back and forth.

Decent movie.

I don't think I've ever seen a movie completly in first person, but I think your question is brilliant.

I'm part of a local writer's fellowship. I mainly just go cuz my dad (a published auther) doesn't want to be the only guy there. lol But I'm more into filmaking myself.

The main thing the ladies have been making a big deal about lately is Point of View (POV) and perspective. They have all these rules, some of which make sense, and some are just stupid.

I brought up the subject of movies once, and right away someone shot back, "In a movie, the viewer never gets in a person's head, knows what any character is thinking, or sees anything from a character's perspective."

No offense to the ladies, but that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. lol

Lady in the Lake is the only one i have ever come across.

The Blair Witch Project

blair witch project maybe.

Blair Witch Project...?

I never saw it so I don't know if the whole move is like that.

...I don't know then, sorry :(

cloverfield is the only one i could think of but you said that one already..... sorry

i think Thirteen

There is a movie called "Russian Ark". It is basically a tour of Russian history, and was shot in the Hermitage. Not only is the movie in first person perspective, but the entire movie was shot in one-continuous-take! People talk to the camera (you), show it around and talk about Russia. Pretty cool from a trivia standpoint, but also a fairly enjoyable film (for those who like a bit of a challenge). Hope that helps. The IMDB link should be below.
