...that was 1979's "The Warriors"; I have high hopes that the upcoming remake, which changes it's locale to Los Angeles, still maintains this basic story, without necessarily emulating the original film (...i.e., same basic premise, but with different angles and characters, coupled with today's brand of idealologies, resources and attitude)...
...although I am somewhat adverse to the idea of this movie being remade, I'm still curious at to what renowned director Tony Scott (i.e., "True Romance", "Man on Fire" and "Domino") will do with it; his name being attached to the film, is pretty much what sparked my greater interest in the film At least the studios put the property in very capable hands, and I have at least some faith that he will do the acquired property it's proper justice, and perhaps give it a breath of fresh air....
