What does Riddick do next? Will there be Riddick 2?!
Question: There are plans for another Riddick movie, as both Vin Diesel and David Twohy (the director) are very keen.
Vin Diesel in particular, loves the character Riddick, and has been in a lot of contact with Twohy regarding input to the script.
Unfortunately, Riddick 2 is a long way off at the moment, as both Diesel and Twohy are knee deep in other projects (Diesel in particular is busy with his pet project Hannibal The Conqueror).
The plot behind any Riddick 2 movie will more than likely centre around Riddick's adventures as the Necromonger's new leader and be based in the Underverse, home galaxy of the Necromongers.
He may use his powers as Necromonger leader to make the Necromongers fight evil as opposed to destroying worlds, but who knows, the character of Riddick is such an anti-hero, he may even go on conquering worlds, although I would doubt it.
Waiting a long time for Riddick 2 could be a good thing, as TCOR did bomb a bit at the box office, so the long wait will give Diesel and Twohy more time to develope 'muscle' with the movie studios, and also time to help raise funding for the movie.
Who knows, Diesel may even try to fund the movie himself, either solely or in conjunction with Twohy, as he has done a similar thing with Hannibal The Conqueror, although I guess that it would depend on how successful Hannibal is at the box office.
Pitch Black aside, Twohy and Diesel had always planned for TCOR to be a trilogy, so if No2 happens then there may even be a No3.

We may never know. The movie tanked so bad they canned any ideas for a second one. They lost the soul and love of pitch black.
