Another Brokeback Mountain question, about the ending!?!

Question: When Heath leadger's character finds out that Jake Gyllenhall's character is dead, do you think that is was an accident or was Jake Gyllenhall's character killed?
What lead you to believe this?

I think he was killed. While Gyllenhall's wife is telling Heath he was hit by a car changing a tire - they show Jake being beaten up

puff
plz dont report me

i think he was killed just sound llike he was no street smart

Sorry, I haven't seen that g@y movie.

Pun intended

killed wasnt he becuase ppl found out he was gay?

it shows you that jake gyllenhaal's character was gay-bashed. He doesn't die by accident

Given their young ages, and no indication of ill health, I would say his end was an unnatural one (i.e. he was killed.. either accidently.. or more likley, intentionally, given the location and invariably provincial attitudes about homosexuality).

I think Jake Gyllenhal's character was killed. My reason is that there is a scene when Heath Ledger's character told Jake that gays were being killed specially if they undulge to sexual relationship with either gay or straight men.

Not really sure but I think the scene leads to the cinclusion that Jake was killed.

He was murdered. I think it's a bit clearer in the short story which you can read for free online.

Yeah, he was killed.

He was killed, they show clips of it as heath's character is being told about it.

Yes, he was killed. The short story tells it a bit better, but he was basically beat to death because of his sexuality. Sad, right?
