When he is looking through his photo album he notices that his "wife" has her fingers crossed in the wedding photos. Typically crossing your fingers negates that action your doing, sooo technically they weren't married. When you say your going to do something you not really going to do you cross your fingers so it doesn't count, kids do it a lot.

Love this Movie however, liked how it ended. As soon as he left the movie ended. Wish they would of made a second one with him finally going out into the real world.
