Since they quit nominating movies we like, should they end the oscars?!

Question: no they shouldn't just because you didn't like any of the movies nominated

Answers: no they shouldn't just because you didn't like any of the movies nominated

The Academy Awards are a longstanding tradition; responsive TV shows like "The People's Choice" and MTV Movie Awards are based on fan appreciation - - the Oscars do need some reform as Baby Boomers will take over the reigns from the 80-100 age group are control a lot of the voting majority. The membership of the Academy is inherently "conservative" believe it or not - - the big movies in May each year and July-August are not really their "cup of tea" and they go overboard to recognize World Cinema a bit much in my opinion. I would be happy if they had a Popular Culture segment (shown on TV) and a Cinema Arts (shown to elite group in a few NY City and Hollywood theatres) broadcast and not show the entire 3-4 hour deal packed so densely with commercials!
