Tell me the name of this movie please!?!
Question: its a war movie. and its centered around a submarine. i'm not sure when the time period is but im pretty sure its during WWII and the nazis and everything. i remember a few things. they captured a german sub and they were taking prisoners but then the U.S. sub gets blown up so they have to use the german sub. and then one of the remaining U.S. navy people is a young soldier who is a translator. and all the americans on the boat try to pass off as a german boat when they are found by a battleship. and they pretend to die underwater. and they bomb the battleship's communication tower and then kill the boat. its a really good movie i just can't remember what its name was....help me!!

Yes, it's U-571. A submarine movie that employs all the cliches and genre standards of previous films.. I would suggest you check out: Run Silent, Run Deep, The Enemy Below, The Hunt for Red October and the greatest of them all......Das Boot!! Also check out an old Star Trek episode from 1966 called "Balance of Terror". They utilize all of the narrative and genre techniques, but instead of sub vs destroyer it's the Enterprise (the Federation) vs a Romulan attack ship.
