Answers: watch/play them with the sound down and the lights all the way up...and don't do it alone

Keep saying to yourself,"It's Only A Movie...It's Only A Movie...MMMMMMOOOOOOOHHhahahahah!

Keep in mind that it is not real. No matter what you watch on television you have to always be aware that it is not real. For me its easier not to watch the movie at night. It makes you vulnerable because you just saw a scary movie and you have to go to sleep. You can not control your subconcious mind.

Most horror movies are pretty lame without the sound track. There are also very good documentarys on horror movie special effects. If you get interested in the craft of horror movies, you find yourself trying to figure how they came up with the effects and less on cheesy plot devices.

stay cool dont think about how horrible it is just consintrate on breathing in though your nose for 3 secs causing chest to rise more than your stomach and relax for a second and breath out for 5-6 seconds. this also helps keep you from having a anxiety attack well for me anyways! good luck!

not play em or watch em

Watch how they make the movies/games. If you see the mechanics of what goes into it before all the creepy sounds and lighting, it will help you see things as they are as a stage and props.

Having a firm grip on the reality of how horror movies are made will make them much easier to watch. What you are watching is not real! It is a very elaborate stage, lights, sounds and computer animation.
