I havent seen every movie that won and she was very very good but she was not the best.
Her transformation was amazing, but I didn't care for the film. I think Ellen Page or Laura Linney would have been much better winners.
I was surprised she won, I thought Julie Christie would steal her statue last night. Everyone was saying the Oscar was going to go to Julie, but I really wanted Marion to win. I think she deserves it, she was amazing as Piaf.
She was so cute when she received the award. Same thing in France with her César.
I was quite reluctant before actually going to see the movie, but she did a very good job indeed!
I also loved Sylvie Testud's performance in the movie. But I'm getting biased : I've always been enamored with her way of playing!
I definitely liked Ellen Page's too, but it was less of a "r?le de composition".
