The Ring Movie - I didn't watch. Too scary?!

Question: Ok here's the story. I am 14 now. when i was 7 i watched a very little bit of the movie the ring, and i am still traumatized. I can see it in my mind. I watched up to where the good girl said: I wonder where her body is right now, and then a scary picture of a body popped out. I couldn't watch anymore. I am only traumatized from the images as i saw them back then. My question is: Will the images scare me now? I laugh at the face of blood and gore, and somewhat scary faces will make me jump but that's about it. Really scary faces give me nightmares. Should I watch the movie nowadays or would it be too scary? If i watch it i'll do it with a friend or 2 and in daylight. Also, what is the difference between The Ring and the japanese version, Ringu? Which one is scarier and will i crap my pants at the japanese version?

Watch it again to make yourself unscared or you could actually psychologically damage yourself (your brain does wacky things i won't go into detail). Everyone told me the Ring was scary as heck but when I watched it it wasn't that bad it was actually the most predictable cliche movie i have ever seen. never heard of ringu

The Japanese's Ringu is scarier than the American Ring.

no you should watch it and its not that scary anymore, when it first came out it was pretty scary but its not anymore, i havent seen the jap one so i cant say which is better

I totally understand your dilemna. I'm not scared by blood and gore, but when it comes to movies like ring and grudge, they just freak me out.

But if it really scares you, then I doubt you should watch it again. Do you really want to experience it again, give your brain another clear image of what scared you in the first place? But it has been 7 years and I bet you grew up a lot so it possibly might not be scary anymore, you know what to expect. It all depends on your preference. For me, the Ring has scared me enough that I can't be scared from it anymore.

Ringu is the original version, and yes it is scarier (In my opinion) The japanese or asian version of any horror film seem to always be scarier.

First ones a jumper second one sucked Ringu is very good

A young journalist must investigate a mysterious videotape which seems to cause the death of anyone in a week of viewing it.

Yes..I understand where you are saying.I was 10yrs old when I watched the movie psycho and till this day I get scared taking a shower..bc I think someone is going to get me..But is not real and is something of a fear that you have to seperate from the real and fake..This movie is not real and you have to see the movie..before it affects you in later life..
You can't be afraid of a screen and is not true about seeing the ring..Is just a joke about the movie.

peace-

I think it is scary.
