Question: The last movie that had that effect on me was 'Apocalypto'.

What movies did it for you?

Answers: The last movie that had that effect on me was 'Apocalypto'.

Silence of the Lambs.

I am *not* a fan of scary movies, but when they get enough buzz / classics status, I'll see them. I thought I was going to have a HEART ATTACK while watching this one.

In second place: The Sixth Sense ~ loved it.

You're the second person this week who has given me a personal recommendation on Apocalypto... Looks like it's a must see! Thanks!! Report It

The Silence Of The Lambs. I remember seeing it in the theater and it had that feeling throughout the whole film. There was even a guy that jumped up at the end and yelled at Jodie Foster, "look behind you", when she was being tracked by Buffalo Bill in the dark.

The Descent...and Ghost in the Darkness. They are the two that do it for me...everytime.

    Some movies are:
    Live Free or Die Hard
    Constantine
    The DaVinci Code
    Cloverfield
    Sweeney Todd

'nick of time' with johnny depp. it's shot in real time which is always suspenseful.
