Do you rely on what the critics say about a movie or do you make up your own min!

Question: Like, if they say the movie is no good, do you avoid seeing it? I've found that i've actually enjoyed movies the critics hated.

Oftentimes, I do. But when I really love the cast, I go see the movie.

They sometimes get it wrong for me.. Like they really praised Cloverfield, I hated it. They hated Rush Hour 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean 3, I love these two movies.

Nope. Some of the movies they bash are great to me and i don't know what they hate about it. All they seem to care about is movies with depressing story lines and dramatic performaces...that's why the Oscars don't nominate many comedies and it's sad movies all the time.

I make up my own mind everyone has different opinions, but sometimes those critics are right and it is crap but not always thats why its best to go and be entertained, even if you dont like it you could still sit back and relax and enjoy just light boring entertainment while u have popcorn or snacks and chill with friends.

I only see what the critics thought after I have seen the movie. Their selection of "quality" movies mostly do not make my list of "quality" movies.

If a movie looks interesting to me, then I watch it. Those critics
take them self's way too seriously.

Sometimes, but I look at what other filmgoers have to say, too. Ebert's the only critic whose opinions I respect.

I have noticed that a lot of movies that the critics hated are actually really good it seems like some critics are completely out of touch with what people really like

I speak my mind :)
