Question: nothing against jon stewart, he is an inarguably funny guy.
and i love the daily show, too.
but didn't he pretty much stink up the oscars last year?
why invite him back?
the only funny thing i remember him doing was a bit comparing stars campaigning for oscars with political attack ads. and that would have been a lot funnier if salma hayek hadn't already done it on "saturday night live" a few years earlier.

Yeah , I do not get it either. Jon Stewart is not that funny. When he hosted the Oscars in 2006, he was not that great. I do not know why they invited him back. Ellen Degeneres was hilarious last year. I was hoping they would invite her back, but I guess not. Maybe, Jon Stewart will be better this year, hopefully.

he hosted it two years ago not last year, its a tough job and i don`t think many people want it nowadays, the academy should be greatful he accepted
Jon Stewart is very charismatic and, I feel, will probably make the Oscars enjoyable this year. We've got great contestants, a wonderful group of presenters, and a witty host. It will be a good time.
