What's the difference between mystery and thriller?!

Question: A mystery, ie. genre of mystery, is something where an individual or a bunch of characters search for an answer. They perhaps go on a journey, or it could be a crime fiction, whatever. Thrillers always have a sense of horror about them, like take Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' music video, for instance. That should help XD And mystery... maybe more cognitive thinking is required, in order to solve something as such. I remember learning this in English once xD

A thriller is usually classified also with scary or action movies,
and a mystery is what is sounds like. Usually the character has to find out some big mystery and solve a case or a question that is haunting them.

Usually mixed with both but thriller is more suspense and keeps you on your toes. Mystery is usually involving murder, giving the sense of mystery on who the killer is.

Thriller includes violence. Mystery doesn't.

Mystery means finding clues and solving puzzles and such. Thriller doesn't have to mean to have those things.

Both might be suspenseful though.

Mystery is a general category and thriller is more specific. a thriller usually has a horror aspect to it.
