i grew up watching the rambo films and although prefer the more realistic war movie have always enjoyed the rambo trilogy as i dont take it too seriously.
i never had a problem with stallone coming back to do rambo even though he is quite old now...its a fact of life people age so why not do another film with an aged john rambo...its not like there pretending he is 30 again.
i havent seen it yet but i fully intend to. i have watched the trailer and an truely impressed with what i have seen. looks like it been intelligently scripted by a good writing team.
but lets not get too serious about it..after all its just good action fun with some added soul searching and a few poignant moments.
and yes ..stallone is back!!!!!!! and with some added kick too.

I thought Stallone did a pretty good job for a 61-year-old. I did think the movie was typical "Rambo" fare, with John having to be the one guy army to save a bunch of morons who decide to go into a place he warned them about previously. Do you think he sighs and says, "Not again."?
If you really like Stallone, then you'd enjoy this movie tidbit. Sly is currently working on bringing his Gabe character back for a "Cliffhanger" sequel.
At first, I gave none of the Rambo movies a chance. I saw a preview for Rambo 4 and I wanted to see the others first.
The story, I liked better than the others, and the bad guys got their just desserts. There was a lot more gore in this one than the others, and that kind of made me go 'ish' but I go tover it pretty fast.
I thought it was a good movie! He looks good for 61! I'm just glad they didn't put him shirtless in this one. :D

i have just watched it and im not really in to rambo but i must admitt i really enjoyed this film it wasnt long enough for me
