Question: I am going to have a sleepover with a couple of friends and I was wondering if any of you knew of some really good movies that will make you feel better, and take your mind off of a lot of things. Basicaly a movie that makes you appreciate who you are and inspires you to do what you want. Thanks for the help.

The best feel good girl movie is AMELIE - it is french with English subtitles and was nominated for an Oscar a few years ago. It's about a girl who secretly does things for other people to make them happy...
The Last Unicorn is an older (80's) movie that is animated but full of life lessons and self discovery and being true to oneself...
Braveheart is always good to inspire...maybe not quite the inspiring story you were thinking though..
Also The Devil Wears Prada is very cute, modern and about staying true to yourself when pursuing your dreams...

Les Choristes (The Chorus). A French film about a teacher who starts working in a boys school for boys who have been kicked out of every other school set prior to WW II. The teacher uses music to connect with the students and win the trust of boys whose faith in teachers has been broken many times by sadistic teachers. The teacher stands between the boys and the sadistic principal who is more interested in rewards and public recognition than the interests of the boys.
The sad thing is that the teacher leaves the school and never achieves anything noteworthy but the principal is sacked and the student who was a troublemaker and the teacher spent hours trying to help ends up being a world class conductor.
