A new Doctor Who movie - if they made one who would you like to see as The Maste!

Question: If the BBC made a new Doctor Who movie with David Tennant as the Doctor, who would you like to see as The Master?

This is one of those "ideal world" scenarios so any living actor is acceptable as an answer, even if you think that they would not take the roll in real life.

Hmmm! Good question.

My first thought was Christopher Lee, but perhaps he's getting a bit old for the part.

How about Richard. E Grant. He was a favourite of many to play the 9th Doctor before Christopher Eccleston was announced, and even made a webcast episode. I reckon he would probably suit the role of the Master better than that of the Doctor.

Wouldn't it be great if they made an 8th Doctor Movie with Paul McGann as the Doctor and Grant as the Master (a kind of "Withnail and I" reunion)

There is a master already in the new series...John Simm.

But if he had to change...( and that is your question right? )

Nicole Kidman.

i love John Simm as the master

John Simm is THE MASTER!

Jonh Simm was brilliant in the role

Never really cared for the Doctor Who stuff. Bloody boring.

ooooohhhhhhhh, John simm, he is so sexy.

I would have to say John Simm again because he was a really good master

me - i'd love to meet the cast of dr who!

Derek Jacobi

John Simm reprising his role as The Master and Paul McGann reprising his role as The 8th Doctor. And have the movie based on The Time War.

Hmm...you need an actor who's not afraid of madness and hilarity, but who can turn dead-eyed and kill you without a second thought. Every Master I can think of at the moment is older - Ian McKellern would be stunning, I think. Alan Rickman, provided he lifted it above the inner silence of Snape. An odd choice probably, but how about Jack Davenport? (Coupling, Commander Norrington from Pirates of the Caribbean?) Has worked for Stephen Moffat before obviously (Coupling), and has a voice that can dance on the edge of humour and then go darkly mad. I think he'd also do good "superiority."

I think John Simm does a good job at being the master but if it had to chang i think Alan Rickman would do a good job. he is kind of sierious but funny. it would be TOTALY AWESOME if i got to have any role in doctor who and meet the cast. DOCTOR WHO IS THE BEST SHOW EVA!!!!!!!!!!
