...in the old-school chop socky flicks, there was a weapon called 'The Flying Guillotine', which would chop off heads from a distance...
...there was a kid, in the horror film, "Phantasm III", who rigged a pretty effective flying weapon, using a frisbee lines with razor blades (then again, there is, of course the multi-bladed silver sphered sentinals)...
...in the sci-fi/horror/shocker, "Without Warning", an alien hunter on Earth, used these fried egg looking, frisbee-like tentacles parasites, and threw them at his intended victims...
...in the 80's sci-fi/fantasy 'Star Wars' knock-off, called "Krull", the hero used this multi-bladed projectable/throwable weapon, called The Glave, which looked really cool...
