Do You Like the Work of J.J. Abrams?!
Question: Do you like his work. I am a rather new fan of his but if you arent sure if you like him hes done alot of stuff.

Im not a HUGE fan but I like his work overall and he has made me pay attention to the whole screen again rather than just the people in it.

Well I've been a LOST fan since season 1 and I really liked Cloverfield (event hough I know many didn't). I'm going to wait until LOST is over to decide as he has promised to bring resolution to everything by the shows end which I believe (but may be mistaken) is 09' or 10'. He sure did create a lot of twists so if he doesn't have an answer for every little shock he created I am going to swear off his works all together. Come on, wouldn't you feel like you "fell for it" if he doesn't explain what the black smoke monster is?? I sure would.
not a fan. he more relies on the plot devices and gimmicks, rather than what he can get out of the actors, or the shots.

Not really. I used to like Lost back in the first season, but it quickly became apparent to me that he relies too heavily on cliffhangers and twists to carry a plot—or, rather, to carry our attention, as there is often little plot. I don't think that's very interesting.
His vision is good.
He is a good producer.
I wouldn't put him down as main originator of lost and Alias, maybe part of a few great minds. CO-creator and Exec Pro!
He should never have put his name to Mission Impossible.
Armageddon sucked -- Yeah that was his screenplay before it got sold.
Cloverfield was grasping for praise.
Like i said his Vision is good and he does seem to know a thing or two. He gets behind some great stuff, i.e., Lost (awesome idea to film in 35mm)
Overall i would say he is just another Hollywood Douche, right place right time.
Should stick to T.V and keep that more entertaining rather than play with silly films.
I love JJ! ALIAS was my favorite show when it was still on the air. Now, it is LOST. I can't wait to see how it ends.
