Your question prompted me to dig into my dusty cassette collection and indeed found a cobweb strewn "American Beauty" Soundtrack. The only problem is I no longer have a cassette player ! In case you have a different soundtrack I've listed them out below ...knowing how painful it is trying to recall a song I'll list out the tracks and perhaps a lead can be taken from there ...

Now I also recall a track that was on a cd I had which was also from American Beauty.. I think it was on a Cafe Del Mar compilation CD .. in 2004 if I'm not mistaken but no longer have the CD
