In Star Trek 2 the Wrath of Khan, What exactly does Spok do to fix the warp driv!

Question: On screen, he puts his hands in a radiation infested "bin" glowing with energy, but what, in terms of Star Trek Technical Geek talk, does he actualy DO to make the Warp drive work ?

The Warp drive was overloaded and in essence shorted out. Spock released some of the access radiation restoring the Warp to normal capacity. Unfortunetly he did this manually which is what killed him. You would probably do that operation with robotic means of somekind...but there was no time to because of the Reliant's selfdestruct. Spock knew that manual Warp power release was the only way.

He called the help desk for technical support and they advised him to switch it off leave it for 30 seconds and then switch it back on again. He did and it solved the problem. Hooray !! Apart from the fact that Spock was horribly burned and in his dying moments had to put up with WIlliam Shatner's horrible over-acting. That was a kick in the pants.

he changes the a4 duracell batteries.

He added two banana peels and a can of miller high life to the Mr fusion which fuels the flux capacitor!!

He kicked it a couple of times, let out the radiation and rather than get out of there, decided to over act his pointy little ears off.
