it sounds like the first Neverending Story
yes it does sound like the never ending story part 1. these two statues will only let u pass and not zap you if you are pure hearted. can u remember if the movie had a giant turtle named Marla in it?and the little boy rode on the back of this giant flying dog? if any of this sounds familiar then it is definitely the movie i am talking about. good movie by the way.
