I'm a woman, and I grew up on Star Wars, my dad liked it so I saw it a lot. These movies are awesome, amazing, and I love them.
I don't think it would be bad for a girl to like any movie. What you like in movies doesn't paint you in any light. I'm a girl. I'm a geek. And I'm proud!
If someone doesn't like that I like Star Wars, they can bite me. The story was epic, the movies were awesome and beautifully done.

No. It doesn't mean a girl has lesbian qualities just because they like sci fi or action movies.

How could it possibly be "bad" for a girl ti like "Star Wars"? In th first place,the whole franchise is not the sole province of males.In the second place,there shouldn't be discrimination on the basis of sex for any reason. And isn't Princess Leia just as capable as Luke Skywalker and isn't Queen Padme just as heroic as any of the men?And,next time,if you want an answer,don't be so pushy

No, just because most star-wars fans are men does NOT mean you do not have to like it. So, who cares if you are the only Princess Leah at the Star Wars Convention. At least you are the only one. Besides, if you like Star Wars, you are part of a HUGE fan base. There has to be many women that are fans of Star Wars. I remember this girl that went on American Idol dressed as Princess Leah with the hair buns and everything. She was reconized for her outfit and personality.

Absolutely not !! ? Anyone who puts this idea in your head is being sexist. I went to a sci-fi convention once, and noticed most of the people were men. The women where just tagging along with their husbands or BFs.
Besides the good-versus-evil theme, Star Wars feature women characters playing the heroine; instead of most movies and TV shows where the woman is helpless, and has to depend on some muscular guy (or a guy with a gun) to come to her rescue. I especially like the character Queen Amidala (disguised as Padme), when she portrays herself as a take-charge type of a woman.
Another good point to Star Wars, is that it show humans coexisting and living in harmony with other sentient species, and these other species look at women as equal in social status to men.
Of course not!!! Those are great movies and I love them. Plus, Hayden Christensen is in the second and third ones and even if Star Wars wasn't amazing, I would watch them just to see him!!!
