Why are many 80s movies bizarre?!
Question: I don't have anything against 80s movies but I'm just wondering why many of them seem bizarre, such as The NeverEnding Story, Willow, The Terminator, The Boy Who Could Fly, etc. These films in particular seem to have elements in them or plot sequences which make them seem "odd".
I am a nineties kid, however I grew up watching many 80s films, such as pippy long stocking, the never-ending story, etc.
The NeverEnding Story, E.T., and Back to the Future are some of my all-time favorite childhood movies.

Film technology in the 80's was not as advanced at they are today.
Fantasy, Sci-fi, animation etc.... May appear to be odd movies, to someone of today used to viewing movies with advanced technology, but for someone viewing the movies in the past, they were really cool, per say, something new & different.
So many movies of today are being created on computers for realistic special effects, realistic story lines, etc..... As opposed to the 80's, reason many movies from the past are being remade.

i didnt really grow up in the 80's but all i can say is... it was the eighties where all time BEGAN... greatest time period umm...ever yeah

I thought most of the movie from that decade are unusual!
