Will there be a a star wars vII?!

Question: Long, long ago, in a galaxy very, very near, George Lucas said that there were three Star Wars trilogies. He said this after the release of the original Star Wars movie, and he still had something of that after the first sequel. When people went to see the first sequel, they noticed that the movie was called Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. People asked why this was Episode V, not Episode II, and that's when they learnt about the three trilogies. Return Of The Jedi completed the one trilogy, and the prequels are one of the other trilogies. The third trilogy was supposed to follow Episode VI in sequence. Mr. Lucas said at the time that the only characters who would see the whole series were C3PO and R2D2. It was supposed to be told through their eyes, in a way. (Obviously, they didn't get to see every single scene.)

After making The Return Of The Jedi, Mr. Lucas said that the last of the trilogies was now defunct. It need not occur, because the story found its completion at the end of Return Of The Jedi. This makes a lot of sense. That ending was indeed quite definitive.

Does this mean that George Lucas will never again make a story in the Star Wars universe? No. He can change his mind, and he does, frequently. He once said that he wouldn't make the three prequels, but then, he decided to make them anyway. He is now working on a series of stories of the Clone Wars, which fall between Episode II and Episode III. (No, these are not Episode VII, Episode VIII, and Episode IX, which would much later in the time sequence of the story; these are more like Episode 2.01, Episode 2.02, etc. Roman numerals don't have decimal points.)

It is possible that some day, George Lucas will return to make three successive films in the Star Wars series. He hasn't done a lot of other work since he started Star Wars, except for the scripts for the Indiana Jones movies. He may find that these are the only stories that he wants to tell any longer. But, for the present, he has no plans for sequels, just the series in between that tells of how the Republic came to fall and be replaced by the Empire.

I doubt it...

in games and comics there already had but in movies i dont think so unless we can get a whole new cast of charachters or have some really good special effects makup.

I've heard that Star Wars VII, VIII, and IX. are written and sealed away, and that upon George Lucas' death, they will be inherited by his son to produce and put on the big screen. Don't remember where I heard this but I heard it a long time ago.

Doubtful, Lucas has stated that the movies tell the story of Anakin from childhood to fatherhood and how the two sides of his life affect him differently (hence the two trilogies)

However, the story is not over and Lucas has said that there are other stories in the SW universe he wants to tell, and in fact there is a CGI movie of the Clone Wars coming to theaters this fall, followed by a CGI show about the clone wars on Cartoon Network, and later a live action show about Boba Fett that bridges the gap between episodes III and IV.

i dont think so, because luke already finished his job, his dad anakin came back to the good side before he died, and also its been a cuple yrs since episode 3, so no i dont think so, unless luke has a son who goes dark side, but in episode 6 the last of the dark side jedi (sith) were destroyed, so no i dont think so

yeah actually, i think that a new star wars movie is actually in post-production, meaning the editing part so most likely there will be, but it might not hit the box office that good or it might, i'm not sure but if you want to see it then try to look for it to see if they are playing it in a theatre near you.

I doubt it. In a latest interview from George Lucas, the animated cartoons are coming to the big screen.

More Clone Wars chapters, don't know when?. A live action tv series but he says no more movies will be made by him or anyone else associated with star wars.
