Have you seen "Children of Men"? What do you think?!
Question: I haven't seen it yet.
Answers: I haven't seen it yet.
It was without a doubt the best film I saw in 2006, which was a good year for film. And I think it was also the best film I saw in 2007, which was a disappointing year for film.
It just blew me away when I saw it. I ended up seeing it three times in the theatre. It's incredibly well made in technical terms - the cinematography is simply jaw-dropping, where you marvel at how they even filmed some of the scenes - and it certainly has enough drama and action to keep you interested. But it was also deeply moving as an examination of a world without hope.
I understand not everybody is as rapturous as I am about the film, but it's one of those ones that stayed with me for hours and days after I'd first seen it. It reminded me why I love movies, and how wonderful an experience it is when you see a film that thrills and inspires you.
My favorite movie of 2007. I loved that film!
I thought it was a good statement on how a paranoid governments war can drastically tear apart a country, it was simillar to what you might have seen during he time of Hitler.
The reasoning behind no one being able to bear children was kind of sketchy and I think they could have come up with a better plot line for that the God or science angle is a bit overdone. But over all I thought it was powerful and recommend it.
i haven't seen or heard of it
