What is the best DVD version of Phantom of the Opera and Hunchback of Notre Dame!

Question: I am guessing you are asking which DVD edition of the famous Lon Chaney versions of both tales, rather than which film version.

This version by Image Entertainment (The Milestone Collection) looks great: http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film/DVDReviews...

The same company has also released the "Ultimate Version" of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which looks fine: http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film/DVDReviews...

I don't have a favourite version of Hunchback but in my opinion the best version of Phantom is the 1943 film with Claude Rains

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0036261/

there's a DVD link in that entry

Out of all the old ones I liked Claude Raines version too, but I loved the Andrew Lloyd Webber version best. Gerard Butler is the sexiest phantom ever, I would definitely choose him over Raoul!
