In your opinion, what is the SCARIEST movie of all time?!

Question: I LOVE horror flicks, I even have a Freddy Krugar sweater from Hot Topic. But to this day, the Exocist still holds its number one spot on my list. I was watching it for the first time (rented it) when I was 15. It was a Saturday night and I had the house to myself. So, I ordered pizza and watched the movie. Right about the time when it got scariest something in my kitchen fell. Like a bunch of pots and pans suddenly.
Yeah, I was all, "Wow, this just got better." I'll never forget that.
What is yours... and why?

I'm with you -- I LOVE scary movies. I'm saving this to my watchlist as I'm always trying to find some really good ones. I do like the exorcist. Of course, it's almost funny when you watch it now compared to when it first came out because of how they make movies anymore. I remember when it first came out, it was extremely scary then.....now you have to laugh a LITTLE in comparison to some others. I'm bad with titles though -- there's a haunted mansion movie where these people stayed and for the life of me I can't remember the name. Of course, I even love the Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitchcock shows!!!

The Exorcist

toy story.

silence of the lambs- its creepy not like screaming scary

the exorcist

Probably IT because I just hate that clown and the certain weirdness the movie possesses but Exorcist is up there on my list as well.

The Lizzie Mcquire Movie

i thought Silent Hill was very cool.............

An inconveniant Truth
;)

A Japanese film called The Eye because it's not full of the bullshit and clichés you see in the western films.

In my opinion, the scariest movies ever are those made by Alfred Hitchcock - the action is not overly gory or slasher, it is more the way it is filmed and the suspense that make them so frightening. I think The Birds is terrifying for a lot of people, but in my opinion, the original Hitchcock version of Psycho is my scariest film - the creepy Norman Bates and his dead mother in the weird hotel, the infamous shower scene. I think the fact that sales of showers in the US went down majorly after the film was released is testament to how frightening it really is! So that's mine.

It would have to be an Asian or European movie. Euro and Asian horror movies are alot better than American.

Havent you ever watched "The Ring"?

It started out asian then got remade by an american director. Watch both, never sleep again, and understand why asian horrors are the best!

Pretty cool on how you like horrors so much.
