Whats a good movie to watch with my 11 year old daughter?!

Question: I hurt my ankle. Have to use crutches. Can't drive and can't dance around and clean the house. So we play board games and watch movies. I just can't think of a couple good movies to send my husband to the video store to pick up !!!!!

Narnia,The Game Plan,Thats so Suite Life of Hannah Montana Something and some Disney ones also something like The Last Mimzy

13 going on 30
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Poltergeist
Gremlins
Monster House

I love the Labrynth with david bowe, it's an older movie (from the 80's) but it's still really awesome. Me and my mom use to watch it all the time.

Hey why don't you watch movie of Selena. You know the famous singer in Texas??? It remind us of her a lot of time!!!! They have in english and spanish!

get ike high school musical or something disney

-13 going on 30
-Sleepover
Um..that movie with brittney murphy and shes the nanny with that bratty little girl

Look Back in Anger with Richard Burton is a classic.

I am sorry you injured yourself , I hope you will recover quickly . Germane to your question about the selection of movies , you might consider Princess Mononoke , Spirited Away , Howl's Moving Castle , et.al.
Good luck !
:0)

Titanic if u think she can watch it, some old Disney movies like the fox and hound so that both of U can cry together or E.T. or Toy story!!!

Rear Window would be a hoot considering your condition (and I enjoyed when I was about 11)
Something Wicked This Way Comes is kindof scary but perfectly safe for an 11 yo.
Has she seen the "classics" of our generation--Raiders of the Lost Ark, Aliens, Jaws, etc.

"Wizard of Oz". "Uncle Buck" (just about anything with John Candy is good, just be prepared for a swear or two), "The Goonies". "Freaky Friday (the original)", "Bringing down the house", "Beauty Shop", and whatever else you can think of.

My niece is 11 and she likes movies like...

Mean Girls
10 Things I Hate about You
Never Been Kissed
Ever After
My Girl
Aquamarine
Stick It

11 is a strange age to recommend anything for, let alone movies, but here goes...

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005)
Ratatouille (2007)
The Game Plan (2007)
Are We Done Yet? (2007)
Because of Winn-Dixie (2005)

Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away
The Goonies
The Princess Bride

Well, I have two daughters, one 19 the other 14... we've always enjoyed watching movies together. Another fun thing we enjoyed playing was hangman. Ok... movies... !

Pay it Forward
The Pursuit of Happiness
The entire series of The GIlmore Girls... I know, not a movie but soooooooo good... enough to laugh outloud.
Dr. Doolittle (don't bother with the second part)
Little Stewart
Toy Story & Toy Story II
The Breakfast Club

Hope you feel better soon... and then again, it's nice being able to spend more down time with a daughter... maybe you can fake it for a bit :)

The Three Lives of Thomasina
Anyone who loves cats would love this film, which is narrated by the cat. The little girl who stars in it plays Jane in "Mary Poppins"; the boy who plays her brother in "Mary Poppins" co-stars in "Thomasina".

Others the two of you might enjoy are:
The Haunting (original)~If you'd like a film with scares but no gore and only one casualty, this is a wonderful movie.
13 Ghosts (1960)~I was younger than your daughter when I saw this one in the theater; we had to wear 3D paper glasses. Even without that not-so-special effect, it's an eerie ghost story with none of the violence of the remake.
Savannah Smiles~My mom and I watch this occasionally. I think she likes it more than I do, and my mom isn't even a movie fan.
Catch That Kid~I was surprised by how clever and entertaining this film is. It avoids the silliness that some movies for youngsters toss in. Kristen Stewart and Corbin Bleu co-star in this film about a caper that isn't really a crime.
My Bodyguard~This film deals with being new at a school and about bullies. Chris Makepeace stars, and the cast includes Matt Dillon, Joan Cusack and Dean Devlin, who went into film production ("Stargate", "Independence Day" and more).
Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory
E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial
The Goonies
Labyrinth

some cartoons..
does she like harry potter series...
i guess tht wud be a good one
