Ideal duration of the movie for you?!

Question: for me 1:45

Answers: for me 1:45

1 hours 45 minutes is ideal.

Alfred Hitchcock once said "a film should not test the human bladder"

Depends how engrosing it is. Over 2 hours, I love really long films. If I'm comfy!

i agree anything beyond that has to be a classic

depends on the movie, if its a drama type movie, yeah about 1:30-1:45. If its an action flick with lots of effects, then 2:00 or more is okay, as long as its entertaining.

I think that depends on the movie. If you're looking for a popcorn movie (just for entertainment) then 90 - 115 min. is the standard. If you are going to endulge viewers in a true fantasy (lord of the rings, etc) then you need to make it longer and add a lot more about the enviornment (i'd say from 120-200 min).

In my expierience most directors want to add in crucial scenes for their own gain. meaning, they add sequences, shots, slow motion pictures, etc that add time to the movie and you normally see movies of a good caliber over the 100 min mark (all Paul Thomas Anderson films are around 150 min., most Coen Brothers movies are over 120, etc).

100 mins

Totally depends on the movie. If it's under 1:30, they didn't put much effort, did they? Sometimes I'll watch a movie and realize after it was over 2 hours.

I can watch every Rocky movie in one day. If it's good and doesn't drag, if it keeps it's pace, I don't care.

I think it depends on the movie, if its really good and theres something interesting being done every second of the film and it has a good storyline to it then I would say maybe 2 hours 2 and a half hours. But if its really boring and drawnout then I'd say an hour and a half maybe, then again I could always turn it off

2 hours

The longer the better, over 2 hours I prefer
