300 was a fantastic movie, but for me the best movie ever award is tied between Forrest Gump and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
if you like 300 you should see sin city or planet terror.

You really can't name one movie the "best of all time", but I'm going to go with "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King". The acting was fantastic, the special effects in the battle scenes were phenomonal, the story really hit you, and the musical score was gorgeous.
10/10.
My favorite is Transformers (2007).
