Question: i need to know the name of the movie that was shot in one take and was one continous scene. it involved opera of some sort and was made about 10 years ago i think.

"Russian Ark" was released in 2003, if I recall. It was filmed in a continuous take. You can read about it here:

It had an opening at Opera Plaza, according to the article from the San Francisco Chronicle. Here's a portion of the article; I'm not sure if it's what you are asking about:
There were hundreds of reasons why "Russian Ark" the new film from Alexander Sokurov, couldn't be made, countless ways in which the ambitious project could have fallen apart. No one had ever attempted a 90-minute film made entirely from a single, unbroken Steadicam shot, and few thought that Sokurov could pull it off.
He did, however, during a frigid winter's afternoon at the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg. Shot by German cinematographer Tilman Buttner ("Run Lola Run"), "Russian Ark" is a miraculous collusion of timing, technology and luck. Eight months of preparation were required to choreograph the 90-minute shot that snakes through 33 galleries of the Hermitage and involved 1,500 actors, three live orchestras and 22 assistant directors.
I found mentions of operas filmed, but none were done in one take as far as I can tell.

NOTE: "Rope" was not filmed in a continuous take, as they were unable to do such filming at that time. They used the opening or closing of a door as an opportunity for a cut; but, the takes are lengthier than usual.
The only movie I can think of that was shot in one continuous scene is Rope by Hitchcock. But it's way older than 10 years.
