...the machete was pretty much Jason's first main weapon of choice, in "Friday the 13th Part 2" (...remember the the guy hanging upside down, the double impalement of the couple in bed, the guy in the wheelchair, etc)...
...although the machete was pretty much downplayed & used less and less, in favor of much more exotic and intimidating weapons (...speargun, pitchfork, tree limb saw, bone saw, etc), as the movie series went on, the machete, for the most part, has always been Jason's particular tried-&-true favorite...
...I suppose if one needed to get REAL nit-picky, you could say that Jason's very first weapon used, which was at the very begining of FT13P2, was, or at least what appeared to look like, an ice pick to the head...
The first one...(for him)..Which is part 2...3 and in 5 and 10 he had one on the space ship...... that come to mind there may be a few more
he started out with a big kofe then moved up to a machete in the first movie and hasnt put it down since. its his trademark weapon!
